Using paper on the USMLE

Is any paper allowed during the test? I am lost if I can't think with pencil in hand and do calculations, eliminations, etc. on paper. What do other people do?

No - they give you like a laminated piece of paper and a marker. They wash the paper when you leave. Why you can't just use regular paper that they shred after? I don't know.

You don't have to right anything down anyway. But if you get too freaked out you can sniff the magic marker for a while to calm yourself down 👍.
