Using Partial Tutorial Time during Step 1

Sorry if this has been posted about already (i've seen conflicting answers), but if I decide to use 10 minutes of the allowed 15 minutes for the tutorial, does the remaining 5 minutes get added to my 45-minute break time?

I would like to use the first 10 minutes to do a brain dump on a paper and just settle in before I officially start the exam.

Yes, any time left at the end of a block gets added to your break time, and that includes any time left at the end of the tutorial.
