Hey there. I am averaging a low Uworld % ranking, somewhere around 51 with higher scores on certain tests. I am wondering how to determine potential score rankings from Uworld -> USMLE step 1. I am using Pathoma, B+B, First-aid, and anki to help in my review process, but man this is really tough. Any suggestions on how to strategically get a better score and keep improving my scores?

The only way to improve is to keep plowing through. But not at top speed, you need to make sure you are actually learning & understanding the material.

I've had about a 15-20% increase in my block averages from when I started. If you are just starting out, you have nothing to worry about. Just keep grinding & your averages will start moving up.

As for the UWorld/USMLE correlation, some people reference this link below, but it honestly doesn't mean much of anything because everybody uses UWorld differently, & this thing is kinda old anyways. It kinda motivates me to work though despite this:

That was pretty damn accurate for me.

UWorld is a study tool. It is not a score predictor. Use it as such and stop using it to compare yourself to other medical students.

I agree 100%. But it's nice to have a % goal to work towards for motivational purposes. In that sense, the score predictor can at least be a somewhat useful tool, even if it's prediction validity is crap.
