Hello! Does anyone know of an online summer course for biochem? I would like to take it during the summer after this year (OMS-I).

... Please don't do that. You are in medical school... which means you need to learn how to make the most of your time. Time is very valuable. You can be doing a lot more during your summer than taking a damn biochem course. If someone advised you to take a summer course, do yourself a big favor and don't take advice from them again.

Just use Boards and Beyond if you want some lectures.

I TOTALLY understand where you are coming from and I'm right there with you. It's the LAST thing I want to do. I don't want to talk badly about my med school because all the other classes are SO good but biochem has been a huge let down. I do not feel prepared AT all. We took subject tests recently and all my peers (including myself) we're so lost. If it will alleviate some anxiety going in to the Boards it's so worth it to me.

Then use Boards and Beyond, and get an Anki deck: use the Lightyear deck if you really like the workflow aspect of it alongside Boards and Beyond (since it is mostly based on that), or use Zanki.

I bet my biochemistry course was just as bad as yours. Board prep material works well.

Boards and beyond gives you biochem on a silver platter that makes sense. You dont need to spend money on a bchem course. BnB is like 140 bucks or something. A course could be thousands of dollars. A lot of med school professors dont really know how to teach this isnt new its kind of the norm lmao. Dr Ryan does know how to teach so thank God for that guy

Please don't spend extensive money on a worthless course. Just pay for 12 months of Boards and Beyond, that's all the Biochem you need.

Another vote for BnB + Zanki bchem.

Didn't know where to start for biochem when I started boards studying at the start of the year.
I'm 2/3 done with Zanki bchem and, although it's been painful, I relish the practice questions in bchem now.

The way to murder uworld/step1 biochem:

1)Zanki biochem
2)look up pictures online to try to make sense of the nonsense your memorizing.
3) hate self and regret pursuing medicine
4) learn from boards and beyond and put the slides in your Zanki cards
5) hate self more
6)cry deeply
7)swallow sadness
8)get bowel obstruction from swallowed sadness
9) get sadness surgically removed from body
10)do practice questions
11) ???
12)profit
