usmle comlex order advice

booked Comlex level 2 for 08/24, but only found usmle dates after that.

(found a 08/19 date for step 2, but traveling several hours to both exams with that short time span sounds exhausting.)

could take usmle first on 08/24 then comlex on 09/01, but comlex score release would be bumped from mid-sept to Oct 06.

So what's more important, holding to the usmle --> comlex testing order but having a later comlex score release, or take comlex then usmle a week later?

Programs expect step/level 2 results will be late, so most decisions regarding invitations will be made without them. Results need to be available for final ranking, which usually takes place in late January.

As for what is most important - do well on your exams, and stay well!

Since ERAS has been pushed back to 10/21, a 10/6 release date is still early/on time!
