Hi, after I apply to my first program, how much time should it take to report my Step scores???

Hours to days.

Based on your question, I assume you're trying to game the system by applying early enough that your awesome Step 1 will report but not your (potentially) not awesome Step 2.

Stop trying to game the system. You will lose every time.

My understanding, which may be wrong, is that when you apply to your first program, you'll pay a transcript fee to get your scores sent to ERAS.

So as long as I checked Yes under my USMLE Transcript tab on ERAS to release it, I don't have to do anything beyond paying the transcript fees on Sept 15th when I apply, right?

So if the transcript doesn't get released until a few days after applying, what do programs see when you first apply?

Would anybody toss out an application before looking at USMLE transcripts? Or would they even offer interviews before?

I.e. would it be beneficial to apply to one program, then when the transcript is out apply to the rest just so that they have your complete app immediately.

I'm also wondering this. I think it would be ridiculous if you had to do that though so I'm just not going to worry about it.

Just apply.

Programs set filters and apps that don't meet those filters aren't even seen. So if they have a "Step 1 >220" filter and your app doesn't have Step transcript yet, they just won't see it. Then, when the transcript is released, and your app now meets their requirements, it will magically appear to them. There's no real difference from their side.
