I primarily used MMRS and FA. MMRS is a bit overkill, but I only had 4-5 micro questions in which the answers contained microbes that I had never heard of, which leads me to believe that it will prepare you well.

MMRS all the way. I read it three times over by the end of second year. It helped me ace my infectious disease exam and rack up points on the boards ( which was mostly micro, path, and pharm) I breezed through FA's section. Its a very quick read and funny so i don't think its overkill at all. I read it in three days. I am sure you can even do it in less time.

I found MMRS to be helpful, but Lange Micro and Immuno (by Levinson and Jawetz) is an outstanding book, and a pretty easy read. It is easily the best immuno reference (~70 pages or so) and the bugs in it are top notch. Just my opinion. It might take 3-4 days to get a good read-through, but is is a very good source.
