I am still trying to figure out this USMLE step 1 scoring system

Roughly a 3 digit score of 240 is equal to what kind of percentage of correct answers?

Anybody out there able to shed light on this.? Thanks

The straight answer: nobody knows. Its probably close to 70-75% though, I would guess.

Everything is graded on a curve -- so you never know the exact percent as it varies from test to test. The score is more of an indication of how you did compared to everyone else who has taken the test.

rumor has it (and it does make sense) that since you can [theoretically] score as high as 300 on step 1 AND since they dump (so they say) 50 "experimental" questions, your three-digit score is pretty close the actual number of questions you got correct out of 300 questions (i.e., the 300 out of 350 that were real exam questions). anyone else hear something to that effect?
