USMLE reports for C/A Fellowship Applications

This question is specifically in regard to FELLOWSHIP applications.

I attempted to request official USMLE transcripts from the NBME, but their website redirects me to the FSMB because I have completed Step 3. FSMB evidently will send official reports for $50 per (2) recipients and each (2) recipient request must be notarized, i.e. total cost of $30 per program being applied to. If I apply to 10 programs, am I really going to have to spend $300 to request USMLE transcripts?! Any insight into this procedure would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yup, that's right. I called the programs and asked if they needed a report from NBME or could I send copies. Then I had the NBME send a copy to my residency program coordinator, which I took and photocopied for the programs that were less picky.
