Hey everyone, tomorrow (Friday June 30th) is the last day for the $59.99 for one month deal at www.usmlerx.com which is a question bank by the First Aid authors. I was wondering if anyone has used this service and what they thought/heard about it? I'm getting close to finishing Kaplan QBank so I'm looking for alternatives.

Thanks

I really liked it, I thought it was a good deal. the mix of questions was a lot closer to my actual exam than Qbank - a mixture of some really easy questions, some material that is harder and beyond what is actually covered in First Aid, and some 2nd or 3rd order questions that were more similar to the ones I had on the actual exam, (unlike the ones in Qbank, which I thought were more annoying than thought provoking). I thought it was definitely worth the $60.

overall, most people's scores seem to be slightly better than Qbank, so I guess it's "easier", I think there's just slightly less emphasis on minutiae that don't really matter and aren't tested on the actual boards... Taussing-Bing, for example (I think Kaplan has a theory that making you feel stupid makes you study harder... it just made me irritated at kaplan.) I think it's a great second question source.

I agree with Hale's Assessment. Overall a good buy, despite some of the computer gliches (ie can't use firefox with it cause the image questions don't load). The questions are slightly easier than Q bank but still a good challenge.
