USMLE score in MCAT terms

Hey,

I haven't taken any practice USMLE's or anything like that, but could someone please tell me in MCAT language what a score of 200 would be comparable to on the MCAT? WHat is the average score of U.S. M.D. student test takers? What is the maximum score possible and how much is each question worth?

Ok maybe I'm being dumb, but maybe you should do a little legwork on the aamc website? (or whoever does USMLE exam) maybe that would help...

Step 1 is normed to a Mean of 217 and SD of 23. I don't know the averages for US MD students in particular, but in terms of passage rates they tend to outperform US DO students and especially IMGs.

A 200 is a below-average score (17/23 SDs below the mean). It's kind of hard to equate it to MCAT scores, because you must keep in mind that on the whole, takers of the USMLE did above-average on the MCAT.

Oh Yawn!!! I'm so lazy but thank you so much for doing my legwork for me. Well, back to the old reclining chair! Why do work when you can have others do it for you? And yes, I would like some coffee. Preferably with 2 sugars, no cream. And make it snappy!

I also like Kenshin. I am in the process of seeing the movie. I watch 15 minutes here, the next 15 minutes later when I get a chance here and there between studying. Is the movie trust and betrayal the only movie they have of Samurai X? What is the difference between Samurai X and Rorouni Kenshin?

There are other Kenshin movies, but Trust and Betrayal is the best in my opinion. Samurai X is the same thing as rurouni kenshin, it is just the name that they gave the movies in the American versions. Personally, I like the TV series best of all, Kenshin kicks so much ass, and it soooo sweet.
