What makes your course stand out from the rest? The right brain bonuses seem kind of strange (at least the demo one was). Is there more to them than a couple of questions within an odd skit?

I heard that dit is no longer using first aid as its source text. What have you switched to and is it better or at least comparable?

I've been to a few DIT promo sessions. Still have your t-shirts! (didn't have my size though so I got stuck with a pink one =/).

Do you guys plan to ever make your own question bank? Would be an awesome addition. I've heard great things about your program, keep it up!

Does this include mobile access (iOS/Android)?

Hi Chutzpah, For the 2013 Course, we will be providing page references to Step Up to USMLE Step 1: The 2013 Edition 2013 (which is included with your course purchase) as well as First Aid 2012 and 2013. We teach what we believe to be high yield, regardless of what's found in FA or SU. When necessary, we will pull in high yield information from other sources (Robbins Pathology, etc.)

Thank you Bonne, At this time we do not have a question bank, but hopefully it is something we can consider for the future.

Hi BAJ, Videos are recorded in HD* and can be viewed on most MAC or Windows computers with compatible browsers** as well as most iPhone, Ipod Touch and iPad models and most Android*** phones and tablets.

Hi Apumic,
That is a great question. The Step 1 Review Course provides you a structured yet flexible approach for Step 1 preparation and guides you through the high-yield information you need to know.
The Course comes with a high-yield study guide that corresponds to the videos and contains study questions, notes, diagrams, study hints, and daily quizzes. With Step 1 2013 purchases, a copy of Step Up to USMLE Step 1, 2013 is also provided.
The Right Brain Bonus skits are included to emphasize the highest-yield content in a fun and memorable way. The educators at Doctors In Training have also developed a helpful list of mnemonic devices that are incorporated throughout all of the videos.
With a purchase of the 2013 Step 1 course, you will receive immediate, unlimited access to Primer which consists of 25 videos designed to prime your brain with high-yield Step 1 information for Part 1 and Part 2 of the course.
You will receive unlimited access to Part 1, which provides 15 short questions and video answers three times a week. These questions are designed to further build your bank of high-yield Step 1 knowledge and fill in any Step 1 knowledge gaps.
Part 2 Videos will saturate your brain with information in a structured manner; building critical relationships of knowledge and facilitate your ability to reach your peak score.

Is there a "lite" version of the video series, i.e. access to only the most high yield dit videos?

As DIT is a coauthor of Step up to Step 1, will you use images from the book on your videos? One of the complaints I've hear from my classmates about the older DIT videos is that it was frustrating that the figures were different than the book the videos were referring to (eg teaching out of FA but had a different image on the video). I think it would be great if you plan on and can legally have the rite to use the images out Step up to Step 1.

Can the DIT videos be sped up to, say, 1.5x while viewing -- or would the student need to use a browser plug-in for that?

Hi JoshSt,
Yes, the Doctors in Training 2013 Step 1 Review Course will include some images from the Step-Up to USMLE Step 1, 2013 edition. The course will also contain other images and illustrations licensed from Lippincott Williams and Wilkins, as well as numerous images, illustrations, charts, graphs, animations, and pathology slides from a variety of sources.

Hi I heard a lot of good things about DIT, my question is when would you recommend to use DIT based on our test date? One month before or leading up to the test if we were to get it?

Are the mnemonics included as part of the "Part 2" study guide pretty much the same as are found in First Aid or do they vary? I have a terrible time memorizing stuff and usually end up using mnemonics. Sometimes I've been a little disappointed by the ones in First Aid.

Also, does DIT have a good errata set up that is continually updated as new reports come in? It can be frustrating to memorize incorrect material when it occasionally pops up!

Hi Blais,
On a PC, the course can be viewed in real time, or 1.5x time. On a mobile device it can be viewed in real time.

You are recommending we start Part 1 5 weeks before our test but in the ad above it says we only get 30 days of unlimited access. Is the 30 days to a specific part of the course?
