Is there anywhere I can find information on average scores on step 1, broken down by school? I searched the forum and couldn't find it. I'm not sure it's even out there...

Some schools list them on their sites, but mostly pass rates. The pass rate percentages may be skewed as some students are kept from taking the exam if they are doing poorly, thus a "first time pass rate" percentage might be higher than normal. Some schools may give their pass rates after students are allowed to retake the exam as well.

There is no website that I know of. You'll have better luck just searching through each school's website.

To the OP, I would caution you against using step 1 scores to help you make your decision. Scores are much less dependent on the school and more dependent on the effort of the individiual student. Also SDN postings are notorious for jacking up scores so that is not a great source either.

Instead of scores I would recommend you look for things like:
1) amt of time the school gives you to study. 4-5 weeks is generally considered ideal. Below that is an issue.

2) Is there a board review? If their review is good, this could be very helpful. No review is generally not an issue either but may mean you will be spending more money.

Info is not published.

Your school is not going to hand you your Step1 score. The resources are out there to purchase (First Aid, Qbank, Kaplan, etc) that tell you what is on the test. Your score will depend on your ability to take stdized tests and the time/effort you put into it.

My school had all these "USMLE review sessions" when I was an M2, problem was that none of the faculty had any idea what was on the test. They all just used the sessions as an opportunity to give the exact same lecture again.
