I am a student of an American medical school taking one year off. I am available to tutor for USMLE Step 1. Whether you are struggling to pass or aiming for a 99, I can help you accomplish your goal.
Whether you are struggling to pass or aiming for a 99, I can help you accomplish your goal.
I scored a 244/99 on Step 1.
My scores, medical school transcript, and references are all available upon request.
What can I do for you? It depends on what your goal is. I have helped students who failed 2-3 times finally pass
I have helped students at passing levels score 99s.
I set strict guidelines and am 110% serious when it comes to this exam, but at the same time I help you learn the material in an easy understandable manner.
I usually sit down and explain First Aid. The biggest mistake students make is using too many resources. The amount of material to study from is endless. You must stick to what is high yield.
First Aid is high yield, but is often difficult to understand because it is so dense.
I teach out of first aid. We will go through an entire section and I will explain what topics mean while constantly quizzing you. At the same time I highlight high yield info and add important information that may have been left out.
Personally, I have gone thru Kaplan, USMLEWorld, USMLERx, and Robbins Question banks. I have taken notes for over 8000 questions, and have learned exactly what is high yield, as well as how the questions are asked.
I aim to teach you the material in an understandable manner, then give examples of how the questions will be asked on the USMLE.
I will evaluate your level of knowledge, find your weaknesses, determine how you learn best (visually/vocally/repetition) then make a custom plan for YOU.
I also make assignments and quizzes in between sessions.
Again, my study plans are different for EVERY student. Everyone does not learn the same way, and I aim to find the best method for every individual to reach their goal.
Even if you are completely lost, I can cover First Aid in its entirety and teach you every single thing you need to know page by page. But every student is different, and since study time is valuable I try and make every minute count.
If this sounds like something that would help you, then let me know how many hours of tutoring you need and where you are located. We can go from there
