i'm a canadian med student interested in writing the USMLE...from what I have read on the USMLE website the exam is given on computer....does anyone know if you can take the exam anytime you want? or is there only a specific date that the usmle is given?

Yeah, you can take it any time you want.

Check out the USMLE Bulletin for more info. Do you want to WRITE the exam or TAKE the exam? If you're writing questions, I guess you're a good person to know... 😀

The expression to "write" an exam is very much a canadian expression for taking an exam. As a canadian studying the US, I got a lot of ribbing for that.🙂
