Hey everyone,
I've been looking around to no avail for help on picking a prep course for the boards. Originally, I was between Kaplan and Falcon Review and had been leaning towards Kaplan. But recently, a friend told me that the review course at Rosalind Franklin is really good and I'm lost again.

I'm currently a M2 (third semester) at Ross in the Caribbean (specifically, Dominica). I have repeated my 2nd semester here for having failed Physiology. This actually was one of the best things to happen to me, academically. After having repeated, I picked up my study habits and am better at understanding the material. But I'm still not stellar with my gpa.
Our 5th semester here at Ross is primarily a clinical preparation semester. We start the semester by taking a COMP exam. Ross requires we pass the COMP in order to take the Step. I hear the COMP exams are pretty good indications of the Step. So, obviously, my decision on step prep will also depend on how I do on the COMP. But with the increased free time I have during 5th semester, I do plan on studying for the step.
Either way, I know that my step score is more important for my residency. I'll be finishing my classes at Ross in December and am planning on starting my studying for the step in January. I was originally planning on taking the 7 week course with Kaplan. But the RF course is 14 weeks. This isn't a problem, seeing that they will still finish by April, which gives me the two years I need to complete my rotations before graduating.
I know a decent amount of information about Kaplan and some about Falcon Review, but I don't know anything outside of the information on the site about Rosalind Franklin. I primarily need help with my test taking (my reason for failing) abilities and secondarily with the material. I realize that Kaplan is probably ideal in such a case, but I figured if the pros of any of the other programs outweigh the cons (material vs. test prep), I would be fine taking one of the other courses.
Also, I'm from Chicago, so proximity is only a problem with Falcon and I have family in Dallas. So location is essentially not a problem. If anyone can help with how the COMP score will relate, I'd also be obliged. And I only included the IMG part in the title in case anyone knew of any information about how well the teaching is here with regards to the step.
THANKS!
