I'm on the process of studying for my step 2 too, so take my input with a grain of salt.
Everyone has told me that surgery is a relatively low yield topic on Step 2, so just read kaplan or whatever book you're using and remember to cover trauma and electrolytes. For pictures the only book I know that might be helpful is Forbes & Jackson's Color Atlas and Text of Clinical Medicine. It is a phenomenal book. Hope this helps!
