Is it better to take the Kapan class prep or just purchase study materials for self study?

depends on whether you prefer sitting on your ass all day in lecture or reading the stuff on your own.
either way it's a waste of money if you don't work your butt off those first 2 years

i think all of the organized study classes are not worth the money. they cant tell you anything that you couldnt learn by reading on your own. but then again i did not utilize a prep for usmle step 1. i did use kaplan for mcat and did not think it was worth the money.
