Once you register and pay, how long does it take to have access to questions? Does it take a few days or is it fairly instantaneous?

(I have a test date in mind and want to time my registration to maximize my subscription days).

Also, is it completely web-based like q-bank, or will there be software that needs to be installed on my computer?

(I'm hoping to be able to study from different locations at different computers).

Access is instantaneous and lasts exactly 30 (or whatever you pay for) from the day you register.
It is both web based (you can access it from usmleworld.com), but I think you might have to download some software. I know I accessed from the computers at my library, so it should be no problem. You also have the link on your desktop.
