so i'm thinking of getting usmlerx but just wondering, since I heard usmlerx reference FA page numbers (i assume the 2010 version?), what happen when the 2011 FA comes out and all the page number are different?

good question, I dont know the answer for sure.
but logic suggests that they would have to switch to 2011. they had it running for a year with 2010, now they will run it 1 year with 2011 and the year after with 2012 and so on.

They dont reference the old page numbers still when the new one comes out? I'd rather they had both...

Also if anyone know, how many questions are in the qbank and how many per topic? Cause I wanna use it to follow along with course (for example when I'm in cardio block I wanna do all questions related to cardio, do all micro questions during micro block, etc..). So can we do the questions by topic with usmlerx?

~3400 questions, dont remember the number for each topic but there should be enough to serve your purpose

Because the 2010 one already has all the errata out so you know the mistakes, and I was planning on starting to go through it along with classes this year? Annotating and such as I go along?

I don't want to have to switch to 2011 in december just because the page numbers don't stick around in Rx.

usually the page numbers are similar so it shouldnt be difficult finding stuff, i used the 2008FA with the 2009Rx during class and it was fine

Doesn't really matter anyway, cause you see the image of the selected section in FA. You don't even need a copy of FA nearby unless you're annotating.

Im pretty sure I remember them referencing both 2009 and 2010 FA pages...

Just for reference... I got USMLERx and UWorld... I didn't finish both in their entirety but definitely got a good amount done in each....

Honestly, I like UWorld much better! ... USMLERx really seemed to quiz you on FIRSTAIDs content - which equates to regurgitating random facts... Whereas UWorld seemed to integrate IDEAS - this really brought all those random facts in FA together for me!... I also thought the questions were more reflective of the actual exam...

I used FA2009 with Rx 2010 and it wasn't a problem
