Hey guys:
Just reading up on USN's website.... it says applicants don't need to send LOR... PCAT... All they want to know is ur marks? So is USN a purely GPA-based univs and a girl like me who's got great EC but crummier marks shouldn't bother? 😱
boo 🙁
have u applied to USN b4? I have an avg of ~3.0 for both sci and cumulative.... do you think I should apply anyways or save my application money?
thanks guys~ o well at least saved some app $$ 🙁
i called and talked to someone in the office. The app questions are not scored. Interview is primary determined by prereq gpa (Bios+physics+other non school prereqs do not count)+overall GPA. Then if you have a degree u get some extra points. And then if you have all prereqs done u get very very slight boost.
I don't know if i should apply either. It's 150 bucks, which is like 2 days of work for me 🙁
What? I thought ALL schools look only at your numbers (GPA and PCAT for some) for consideration for interviews. Then personal statement, LOR, work experience, etc... come after thatyeah, they basically just look at your numbers when granting interviews. then your interview will be weighed heavily after that.

What do you mean by "answers to questions are used for interview discussion topics?" Answers to what questions?well for usn, that does NOT come at all... meaning from the person who i spoke to there told me that the answers to questions are used for interview discussion topics and not are not used as criteria for interview.
