I returned a call to Dr. DeYoung Tuesday evening after realizing he had left me a voice mail about 4 hours prior. He offered me a seat at the South Jordan campus. I accepted his gracious offer. It is my first offer and my first choice for pharmacy schools. I am looking forward to starting school in the fall. I can finally relax this summer. I was pulling my hair out wondering if I was going to have to wait another year.

I'm sorry, I did not ask where I was ranked on the waitlist. I was just so excited I did not ask him much at all. I was also very anxious to call members of my family about the good news before my lunch break was over.

congrats overhillpharmer! Utah is a great place to live. I look forward to meeting you in Aug. I always fill like the "old lady of the class" it will be nice to have someone also above the age of 22 (or so).

I'll be joining you two in the "old-timers" group. I just turned 30 a little over two months ago🙂

I am friends with a guy who will be graduating from USN in a month or so and he said they had a 64 year-old in their class...never too old to start I guess!

Congrats that must have been the one i declined. Coz i was accepted at south jordon campus but wanted Henderson. So i finally got in at Henderson Campus.

I think they are waiting to get all the "waitlist acceptance" forms that are due on the 11th of June. I don't think many on the waitlist will be accepted until those forms are turned in.

Hi, I will be applying for Fall 2008 and USN Utah is my first choice. Would you guys who got in mind telling me your stats? GPA, classes you took, etc.? Just whatever you feel comfortable giving...thanks!

I think I was near the top of the waitlist for the South Jordan campus. My waitlist package must have got lost in the mail. I found out that some people had already been sending in acceptances to the waitlist so I inquired on May 7th with the Henderson campus to verify that mine had been sent. They verified that it had been sent on April 30th. They also told me that the deadline for waitlist acceptance was in early June, so I had plenty of time for the package to arrive, but to contact them again if it did not arrive within the next several days. The next day I returned a voice mail from Dr. DeYoung during my lunch break and he invited me to have a seat at the South Jordan campus. I enthusiastically accepted his offer before I even had a chance to accept being waitlisted. Henderson had been my first choice but as Dr. DeYoung's invite approached I was leaning toward South Jordan and staying in the duplex that I have owned for about 7 years now in West Valley City. Fendercady I recall my GPA's being about 3.60 overall and about 3.85 sciences.

Pre-req gpa: 4.0
B.A. Telecommunications at Indiana University
Took half of the pre-requisites at a community college
Finished 5 of the 8 required classes when accepted (not including ochem1/2)
Worked at a pharmacy for over 3 years
