As a Temple graduate and Philly native, I recommend you look into Rutgers. I don't want to elaborate and perhaps offend anyone, so feel free to send me a private message.
Stephie is right - unless you have really really good grades and resume. Rutgers already has too many students and are at risk of losing accreditation therefore they're weeding out a lot of students. This freshmen class (pre-prof) class is the largest ever!!! Which isn't a good thing.
