Do not stress too much over lower NBCOT rates just yet. Apparently the test format was changed in the last couple of years so many schools are climbing back up in their ratings as they adjust their teaching methods. However, if the school has a low NBCOT rating and has been put on probation (or seems to have other issues) then it may be time to investigate deeper. But from what I have been hearing many programs test scores increased this year as they adapted to the test and will continue to.

As a current student at the university I would strongly urge people not to apply to this university. The pass rate for the NBCOT exam is 52% for the past three years, and to keep accreditation standards the pass rate over a three year span has to be 70%. The program will most likely be put on probation when they are up for review in 2014.

The school does not have any decent fieldwork connections, and is requiring students to now do a level II placement 100 miles outside of Philadelphia. We were told this a week ago, and could now be put randomly across the country for the upcoming summer session. When a Philadelphia resident mentioned they did not have a car and took public transportation the faculty member's response was "rent a car for three months"

This is the most disorganized program and I am shocked they still have accreditation! Attending this program was a really big mistake!!
