USUHS Waitlist

Are anyone still out there who are on the USUHS waitlist? I am waitlisted under Army. My physical disqualifcation waiver letter is still under review. in other words, i'm disqualified at this point. This is about my positive TB skin test because of my BCG vaccination which i had in Korea; i didnt complete the INH therapy. My college school nurse gave me INH anyways. but i didnt complete the full regimen because of drowsiness and other side effects. i sent in all that i can to prove my physical qualification. Shouldn't i receive something by now so that i can plan for my OBC at Fort Sam, which will begin in a month. Should i write a letter of intent? Does anyone know what i can do at this point?

Did you ever receive a "conditional acceptance" or are you truly waitlisted at this point?

If you end up missing OBC, it's not the end of the world. You can still start in the fall. As for your waiver, you may want to call DoDMERB and find out the status of your waiver request. They can tell you what stage the review process is in. If they lost your paperwork (which has been known to happen) the only way to find out is by a phone call.

Thank you for your comment. McKnight (?) Admisssions Office lady told me that i am "waitlisted" meaning that i have been recommended but no slot available at this time. She also told me it would be too late to attend OBC this time even if i get in now. i would have to wait til next year. How about the Field Training, then? Has anyone at USUHS gone through what i am now?

I sent you a PM. You also may be able to check your status on the Army waitlist now that it's this late in the game. It may just take some extra "maneuvering".

I'm curious... is there anyone out there who is holding an accept or WL spot for the Army who plans to withdraw once (s)he gets accepted at a different school? Or is anyone planning to drop right before obc?

ive decided to attend tufts this fall and am withdrawing my army acceptance..so that one of you guys can have it...goodluck to all
