Dermatology Clinical Research Fellowship
University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/UTHealth McGovern Medical School
Department of Dermatology
Adelaide A. Hebert, MD

A position will be available starting July 1, 2017 as a clinical research fellow with Adelaide A. Hebert, MD at the University of Texas Medical School-Houston Department of Dermatology. This fellowship allows extensive immersion into clinical research (15 active trials, with more to begin) and strong instruction as to the administration of such projects. As Dr. Hebert is Board-certified in dermatology and pediatric dermatology, many of the trials are pediatric focused. Clinical trials encompass both pharmaceutical and investigator initiated trials. Interdisciplinary trials with Pediatrics, Pediatric Neurology and Neurology also constitute part of the fellowship experience.

The clinical research fellow will also have the opportunity to assist Dr. Hebert in her pediatric dermatology and other clinics and to round with her on the inpatient consult service. The fellow may also attend, as time allows, daily resident teaching conferences (dermatopathology, kodachrome, Grand Rounds, textbook, Dermatology- Rheumatology, etc.) and will have extensive interactions with the dermatology faculty and residents at both of the Houston Dermatology residency programs. This fellowship offers a strong teaching component in both clinical research and dermatology.

As this is a clinical research fellowship, you must have an MD degree from a US Medical School, be eligible for a full Texas license and have completed an internship (PGY-1) in an AAMC approved training program in the United States. If interested, please forward a CV, letter of interest, USMLE Step scores for all exams taken to date.
