I'm sorry to start a whole new thread on just one school but I'm feeling very confused about UT-Houston's program and in need of some insights. This place has bounced around from the bottom of my list to the top several times. Basically I do really like the program, but had a very disorganized interview day (not sure how much that really means) was worried b/c they had lost their funding for the current PGY1 class, and am undecided if the training would be really good, particularly in comparison with Baylor in the same city. I liked UT b/c it was more relaxed and friendly, but still want good exposure and training. In other words I don't want to sacrifice training for an easier lifestyle but I don't want to be in a pressure cooker at another program. So any thoughts from other people who interviewed there, go there, know people who go there, heard things, or anything at all would be appreciated!

My interview day was very disorganized as well. Out of 10 places, it was the most disorganized. I got the sense that they use residents for cheap labor at HCPC. I also got the sense that there was a lot of learning going on, but they work hard. Also, the experiences did not seem to be very diverse. Baylor has an awesome program. The faculty are amazing, and the other residents are top-notch, though people are a little snobby. I would definitely choose Baylor.

Many thanks for your response.....I just wanted any additional thoughts on this place and was thinking 80+ views and no one has any? I also thought Baylor was a bit snotty.....I haven't made any headway honestly...I'm still torn over what order to put my top 3. 🙁
