Hi everyone. I'm probably applying to transfer into the UT System from Quillen for clinicals (next year). Can anyone tell me if UT still pays housing in Chattanooga? I have heard that they quit this practice in Knoxville, but still do so in in Chattanooga. Regardless of the answer, I am still hoping to transfer in and rotate there. Any positive or negative feedback regarding your experiences would also be appreciated.

Also, does anyone know, approximately, how many "seats" you will be able to fill at this point, for the class of '08 transfer students? in other words, how many have either dropped out, added time to graduate, or flunked out thus far from your '08 class?

Thanks much for your time and attention.

Hi there.

I don't know anything about Chattanooga. As far as our number, I can recall a couple of faces that I no longer see. However, we have also added some M 2.5'ers as well. I've never done a head count, but it seems about even.

Thanks for the reply. I spoke with UT admissions last week about this. It seems that the "number of seats open" isn't as much of an issue as my reasons behind transferring (family issues closer to K'ville and Chattanooga), so now I just have to decide if I should apply to leave. This is kind of a hard decision, 'cause I love Quillen. From what I can tell however, no one sees much of each other in the wards during clinical years. So, I'll probably still try & transfer in.

Again, if anyone has feedback about Chattanooga clinicals especially, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks.
