Not to bug everyone with the personalized requests for residency info but what do people know about Utah's path residency? I know CP is good so I am curious about the AP side. I only met one resident while I was there and an attending mentioned that she wanted to switch over to a night preview system. I haven't talked to too many people that know too much about it. Any info?

Anyone have any current information about the program?
I spoke to the Chair of Pathology at my school and she said she didn't know much about the quality of the AP. Obviously the CP education is excellent, but what about AP?
I absolutely love outdoor activities like rock climbing, hiking, skiing, mountain/road biking, ect. so UofU seems like an ideal place for me. Although, it seems like there isnt much of a social life for a single person.
The Mormon presence doesn't bother me (actually I go to school with a few and they are some the nicest people Ive ever met). One of them said there is tension between the Mormons and non-Mormons?
If there are any current/past residents that would like to share their experiences that would be great.

Yes everyone in Utah has 3 wives. Just like every male resident at UCSF has been gang banged by male rapists drapped in rainbow flags while trying to get to work.

As you have said, CP is very strong at Utah. I have heard that the AP is not as strong though. I think if you are interested in practicing in Utah it would be a good program, however, it is not going to have the national appeal for AP. With that said, the AP there is not bad and there are certainly many worse places out there. It just isn't Hopkins or MGH though.
