Did anyone else receive a "survey" from Utep?

Yes. I did it last year and got waitlisted.

Ah, I'm sorry about that. I really hope you get in this semester. We're a tight knit group and we're not devastatingly poor because our tuition is affordable!

OP, this doesn't apply to you...but for anyone else reading this that also has/will receive a survey: please take the supplemental app survey seriously. I know it's tempting to breeze through the responses, but it's the only item that ALL the faculty get to see. Your initial app is sorted by an appointed committee and the supplemental is what gives the faculty a chance to get to know you. It could even mean being wait-listed vs flat out rejected.

I also received it but haven’t heard back sense. I attended the open house in Jan, and faculty stated that we wouldn’t hear from them until January.... does anyone know if everyone got the survey that applied, does it mean anything positive if you received it? Lol

From the email, it doesn’t look like they are going to send out anything until the end of January.
