Anyone have interviews at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis? Has anyone interviewed already and have thoughts about the program / tips for interviewing?

I was accepted for early decision in September. Here are the questions that I remember. Good luck!

Tell us about yourself and how you got interested in the field of physical therapy.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Tell us about a difficult semester in undergrad. How did you deal with it and what did you learn from the experience?

This program is very stressful. How do you cope with stress?

Do you work well in groups? This program requires a lot of teamwork.

What clinical settings have you done observation hours in?

What was something you really liked about a particular clinical setting?

What was something you didn't like about a particular clinical setting?

Do you know of any current events in the field of physical therapy?

The interview will be conducted by a team of interviewers consisting of a 2nd or 3rd year student, a professor, and a graduate of the program.

Thank you so much! Do you mind posting your stats?

University of Memphis
Exercise and Sport Science
Overall GPA: 3.79
Pre-req GPA: 3.83
Old GRE: 1140 (540 V, 600 Q, 4.0 AW)
Observation: 362 hours

I applied last year. I got waitlisted but was not accepted. Here are my stats:

Overall GPA: 3.7
Pre-Req GPA: 3.7
GRE (pre 2011): 470 quantitative; 580 qualitative; 4.7 writing
Observation hours: 300+ outpatient, 100+ inpatient hospital
Extra-curricular: working with autistic kids at church
Work: resource manager, personal trainer

I interviewed this time last year. I arrived and waited for 15 minutes. Then they asked the questions that PREPT2011 listed above. I interviewed with two faculty and one student. Don't expect any hard questions. Be prepared to answer questions about your experience and why you want to be a PT. They'll want you to tell them about yourself. Talk to them about chiropractors and the APTA. The professor I interviewed despised chiropractors.

Has anyone heard back after their interview with UT Health Science Center in Memphis for the DPT Program starting August 2016?

No. I interviewed in November and they said we would not be notified until 1/30/16

I am on the alternate list. I really hope I get offered a spot. Has anyone else heard?
