looks like we have a fellow emory alum 😉
i don't think it makes a huge difference - i've had verizon for years and haven't had any problems with them. i don't know if you're into getting the latest, sweetest phones or if you're just looking for simple talk coverage. if the former, you may want to go with cingular or stay with t-mobile. if the latter, it may not really matter at all.
I have sprint with free roaming and walking around campus it seems to work okay. EVDO (high speed internet also works). There are some low signal spots but the phone will roam to another providers network (e.g. Verizon). Get the sprint sero plan 😍 I pay < $30 / month for 500 minutes with internet, unlimited text / data with free roaming nationwide.
Wait until you get here and get your student i.d. Then you can join Gold's Gym (they have several quality facilities around the campus) for ~$21/month.
Wife and I moved yesterday. I've got the ID. So apparently Texas Star Cafe doesn't have a student discount but they do take VISA/MC. She said there is another place that does though - she didn't know the name. On a side note - I'd highly recommend getting the Citi mtvU card - you get 5% cashback (TY pts) for eating out, books, movies and such.
So isn't it odd you don't have to log in to use the machines in the library - or did I just take over someone's session 😕 The large LCD displays are nice!
What is a TRAC account card? The guy on the counter said I can use my student ID and don't need a library card.
So I parked in Lot 11 when I came to campus this morning. It's quite a hike, or maybe I've gotten lazy
