Hey everyone, I just opened this thread to get in touch with all those international dentist like me, that are planning to or have already applied to UTHSCSA IDEP 2014. Feel free to ask questions about application process or share each other status etc..
 
Hi

I am applying to UTHSCSA. I have a question about personal statement.Do we have to type it in the space provided in application , if so how to do that.pls let me know

Hi Geetika,
First print the blank form page, then print the essay from the computer onto the page, and finally check the margins to make sure it fits. It will take a couple of test prints but you'll get it.
 
Is it too late applying to UTHSCSA and UMN PASS ?
 
Its not later for UTHSCA but for it is for UMN PASS

Hi Geethika, when you type your personal statement on word, jus add a similar outline (up-to measure) and also the details that are given on the application page and print that out. No need to print on the same page. They just need the format.

Have they started sending out invites?....... or its too early?
 
It's too early, I think they will start sending out invites at the end of September.. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US!!!
 
Can we send the sealed official school transcript by ourself? because my school cant send the official transcripts directly to UTHSCSA, plz help
 
Yes u can, but make sure its sealed envelope. I called the school and explained my situation(same like you) and they asked me to send like wat I said.

Hey guys, Is it late to apply for UTHSCSA and Indiana dent school? I didn't order my NBDE & ECE reports yet !! I have been waiting for my TOEFL score..

Since deadline is october 31st, u still have time for it, u never know what your chances are, so better apply.

The invites are send in together or do dey have two or three batch .. Is it of any use to apply now ?
 
Is it worth applying ? Coz they have already started sending invites ... Even though there last date is 30th.. Any idea how many batches they cal ?
 
I got interview on 24th and 25th oct. Don't have any details of interview as of now.

Same question here! I dont know if it's worth to apply or not? Because I dont have part 2 either. And they only want 10 students!!
Besides I've heared they are mostly intrested in Citizen applicants is it true??
 
I think you should try to applied.. I haven't heard about the citizen preferences. I don't have part II neither ...

I have not receive any invitation neither rejection from any of universities I've been applied,that's why I am a little bit disappointed.
 
Your welcome 🙂 ... Keep the hard work up!! I believe is about what you have been doing in the dental field, experiences, voluntary, researches etc,.. The exams are part of the requirements but what really make you stand up is your work experiences in the dental field.
Don't stop believing ...love this song 🙂

hey does anyone know about observerships at universities? not where i can find them, but how effective they are, or rather are they better than just regular shadowing at a US dentist office?
