hi i called uthsca they said that there are int till dec the 8 . and not all interview letters have already been sent

Hey guys

I am unhappy with the way UTHSCSA declared my application as incomplete.They did not recieve my ECE,TOEFL on time.I absolutely have no clue why did the material not reach on time though i had made the request for it long back.On asking ECE simply says we take 7 to 10 business days and some times there are delays.How am i suppose to know whether delay will occur when i am applying.
I tried to arrange all the stuff well on time even from my country and how easily they declare it incomplete..for just a matter of 3 or 4 days.CA schools and most of the schools have a window time during which u can make up for such situations...but all my efforts went waste for texas.
Just wanted to share woth u all and also ask if there is a way out...i got a mail from them today telling that my application is incomplete.

Hey DENTIST 79,

Sorry to hear about what hapened with your San antonio application .The problem is there are high chances of out reports getting misplaced or not reaching on time ....I faced similar issues with USC and UCSF this year but i used to call everyday almost to find out if my file is complete or if they are missing anything .

You should keep mailing them or calling them and making sure everything is in place ...they don't care about our applications ...they have so many people applying .Its sad but we have to take all the pains .

Dont lose heart i'm sure there is something good for you someplace else .Hope this helps .

guys...

sorry...i could not reply back to ppl who PMed me and post on the general thread about the UTHSCSA interview....mine was okay, sort of...lez c what happens...


about the interview....

first of all....the faculty....absolutely nice and a ton of appreciation for them.....they have put together this program in a very structured manner and i believe it is at par with similar ones across the country.....in every aspect....patient pool....coursework....research....tuition fees(10K less than pacific)...and of course the preclinical/prematriculation program---6 weeks...to bring you to the same page with the regular dds students.....more faculty...less students....so better one to one interaction with faculty....well organized student practice groups and clinical grading system.....

interview consists of two personal interviews....and the third one in the written form...basically essay questions....professional as well as personal questions.....i think they change questions for every batch....so it dosen't matter......just be prepared and be yourself....nothing much that you can prepare for other than for clinical exam...which consists of a crown prep and a cavity prep.......but they will give you the criteria they want to see you follow, a day before the test ......

i guess there's nothing more to say other than the place has a very friendly atmosphere and just give your best shot as you are doing everywhere else.....

I feel they have already called all the candidates for the final interview session..i mailed them last week and got a reply that they r still processing the applications for the final interview batch that is on 7 and 8th december...and they r giving 2 weeks of time before the interview..i feel all those who r waiting, including me for a interview call...chances r very slim
