UTMB acceptance rate for OOS students

Hi everyone. I was grateful to receive an invite to this school and honestly UTMB is one of my top choice. It is a great school, near all my friends and has many opportunities that align with my medical school goals. I was not sure how the acceptance rate works for OOS state students. Do OOS state students get waitlisted or deferred or is it just accepted or rejected. and when do OOS students find out?

I want to send a letter of intent or even an update letter (has been a month since I interviewed) but everyone is telling me to wait since it makes me look desperate.
I would love everyone's thoughts 🙂

It’s pretty much accepted or rejected
If you have something important to tell them do it now because they have completed all their interviews.
Maximum number of OOS matriculants is 23 (10% of the class)
