I had an interview at UTMB in Dec 2011, and I thought it was pretty intense. How was yours? Was anybody accepted after their interview? If so, how soon did you get your acceptance letter?

Hey, I also had a interview December. I would of gotten it earlier but I already had a interview at Texas Tech. I thought the interview was good. I wasn't nervous cause I already had a interview at Tech. I made the professor laugh a lot so I think I did good. lol. My interview was longer than the people in my group so I'm happy that I carried the interview/conversation.

No word from them yet either. I did a check up on my interviewer, she gave me her card. They will not notify us until February.

I interviewed sometime in October of last year and I heard the following week that I got accepted. I also had a few friends from the class of 2013 who had similar stories. I think the length of time you hear from them depends from applicant to applicant. One thing you have to keep in mind is that UTMB has rolling admissions so basically people fill in the spots as the weeks go by, and often times a spot opens when someone declines. UTMB is a great program (my mom graduated from there)!

Really. I asked them if it mattered when you get your interview. They say it didn't matter because no one was going to get accepted until all interview process were done in February. Thats what they said at the orientation. But maybe they were just making us feel like we had a chance. lol.

I don't know if they changed the process this year. But I agree, I don't think when you have the interview matters at all. I have an undergrad classmate going there now who got accepted without interview in August (from last year). It was crazy! She was the first of our PT circle of friends who got accepted while we were still biting our fingernails just finishing our apps. But like I said, it really varies. When you get accepted has nothing to do if you're better than one applicant either because people submit documents at different times, and then you have to add in the time it takes to process your app.

I actually read up on one of the threads about Texas schools and one member has been accepted already to UTMB. I sound like a creeper! But I'm just backing that statement up lol.

We will have to see. I think my interview went really well. I made the interviewer laugh a lot. lol. I don't know if thats a good thing or bad thing. Is the interview the last part of the process?

I haven't received an invitation for an interview yet from UTMB. Should i be worried? Are they still scheduling interviews?

I don't think interviewing later hurts your chances-you can't help when they schedule you. I turned my application on the day of the deadline (after many people had already interviewed) and got my acceptance letter at the beginning this month without an interview. Their class size is larger than most so don't worry too much about people being a "foot in." Best of luck!! (and don't forget to breathe...) 🙂

When I interviewed in December, I was told that there was going to be one last interview session in January. I wish I could provide more uplifting news.

Yeah, I don't know why they would do that... I'm sorry! I really hope you get an acceptance email soon! I know how incredibly stressful waiting is (I don't think I slept at all last summer and semester... lol).

For anybody waiting on a response from UTMB, I was told they will be sending out letters through email this week. Good luck everyone!

Got on the alternated list. Very, very, disappointed. 🙁

I didn't receive an email at all. What do you think that means?
