Which school do you think is academically better? If given only these options, which one would you choose for your undergrad career?

Before I want to make the decision, I want to hear opinions about each school. Like if the student body is friendly at each (do the students help each other, especially in labs, or do they compete and try to affect others?). How about the professors (a lot of non-native professors)?
I heard knowing Ms. Wells the collaborator at utep can help a lot, and premed people are really smart at both.
I'll appreciate comments from any current or previous students!
 
I heard great things about UTSA. I visited El Paso for one of my interviews (Foster) and didn't really like the environment. To each his own I suppose.
 
UTSA. lots of great science professors. Plenty of research and you can do research at UTHSCSA.
