I have been to either official tours or bootleg tours led by friends who attend the schools for all three and am struggling to decide my rankings before the TMDSAS match.

- Close to home and familiar with area
- Built in opportunities for research (interested in taking a full research year and they have a paid program)
- Have close friends who attend and kind of now know what to expect
- Great school in general (rankings, match list, scores, ect)
- P/F for preclinical
- I don't love the taking multiple courses at a time and have heard first semester is brutal
- Lots of great people but also has a reputation (and some that I have met) of quite a few people that are toxic and/or gunners
- Not NBME style exams

- Amazing culture among students and great work/life balance
- More focused on true learning rather than scores - love that you can take your test twice
- Great school in general (rankings, match list, STEP scores)
- Also has paid program to take a research year
- Very familiar with the area in Houston and LOVE Houston
- Brand new curriculum so no idea how it will play out down the line
- Curriculum has complaints with MS1s (esp with anatomy)
- P/F through entire curriculum - hard to distinguish yourself
- Was not a huge fan of the temple campus

- Guaranteed to be in Houston and TMC
- Students seem to be friendly and have good social lives
- Good school in general
- Have close friends who attend and kind of know what to expect
- P/F for first semester
- NBME exams
- Not sure how built in research is into the curriculum / opportunities to do a full research year
- Rotations can kind of be far (LBJ is a lot farther than Ben Taub)
- Only P/F through one semester so may be a difficult transition afterwards
