Hello everyone! This is my first post on SDN and I just want to say this is an amazing site and all of you are very helpful. Thank You.

I have applied to University of Vermont's Post Bac program. I fell in love with the school when I went up their a couple months ago. Here are my stats before I ask my questions.

Age: 20
Major: Business Mgt
Cim GPA: 3.45
Non sci: 3.67
Sci GPA: 2.7 👎 (have only taken 2 science classes because my major required it)
GRE: taking them this Wed.
Activities: President, Society of Advance Mangerment, sustain council member, SIFE member, 30 hour a week internship (unpaid). There is more but that is the most important.

I turned my application in by hand and actually had the chance to speak with one of the committee members. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has completed this program. I've done some research and not alot is said about the UVM medical program or its post bac program. I guess what I'm asking is for some advice. I have also applied to:

Harvard extension
EVMS
Maryland
VCU
Greensboro

But my number one choice is UVM over all of them. I guess I am just really worried. I have really good LOR from 2 doctors and my internship. 😕 Thanks in advance.

I dont think you will have anything to worry about. I am in the program with similar stats, if not lower. My stregnth was a lot of health care experience. Other students in the program have a decent amount of health care experience ranging from EMTs, to home health aides, etc. There are excellent opportunities for research, and work at the hospital on campus.

I have been extremely happy with the program. Everyone has access to any class they want and are able to get in...except for 1 anatomy and phys that uvm holds solely for nursing and PT students.

Advising is ok, you have access to both the undergrad pre health advisor and the post bac continuing ed advisor.

PM me for any specifics
