UVM has been one of my top choices for med school for almost a year now, but I've got myself so worked up over the secondary this year I can't get myself to send it out. I applied last year and was rejected without an interview. I've re-written my AMCAS PS and followed the secondary application directions better this time (last time wrote more than a page when they asked for just one). But I want to check about a couple things before I send it out:

1. When they ask for your course and the lab and the two are combined at the school you went to, should you just put it once or repeat it?
such as below - because it looks really strange on the application

Course # Course Name Year Completed
CH-222 Organic Chemistry II 2002
Lab # Course Name Year Completed
CH-222 Organic Chemistry II 2002

2. Would anyone be willing to read my statements regarding what I've been doing since my AMCAS submission and the special circumstances paragraph? I just want to make sure that these won't hold me back, since last year the ones I wrote might have.

Please PM me if you are willing to read my statements
Thanks in advance

could someone give me some info about the first question? thanks!

if they appeared on your transcript separately, list on the secondary separately also. If the lab is included with the lecture portion and its listed on your transcript as one class, list as one entity on your secondary also. In this case, write "& lab" next to the title of the course, or write "lab is incorporated into lecture component" if it specifically has a box for the lab part.

Yeah, UPitt has the same thing, and they said to just write "lab included" after the course title.

Really makes one wonder what exactly is the purpose of AMCAS 🙄

hmmmm..... i listed them separately -- since they had a specific line for lab, i split them up, but had the same course # listed so hopefully that'll make sense...
