Hi Guys!

I haven't seen any thread started yet for UW MOT for Fall of this year yet so I thought I would make one and we can be nervous together. Haha. I love this forum, since only other applicants understand how I feel right now.🙄

This is my second time applying, so hopefully second time is the charm. I remember I got the notice around this time last year. Has anyone else heard anything else or updates?

Anyone else get an email? I was rejected 🙁 mega bummer.

Congratulations to anyone who got accepted! I live in Seattle, let me know if you will be moving here & need a friend or some local tips.

I haven't received anything yet. I am sorry to hear that, but I am sure some other school will be lucky to have you! When did you receive the email?

I got the email this morning about half an hour ago. Maybe they're sending them in waves or it ended up in your junk inbox?

Thank you  I'm undecided on what to do from here as far as schools go..I'd rather not move out of the area so I'm thinking I'll work on bolstering up my application and try again next year. This is my first year applying to OT school.

Just heard back from UW and I am on the wait list. No worries, though, because I got accepted somewhere else almost two months ago and I am going there. I have to say I wasn't crushed by the news as the school gives off elitist vibes. I wish everyone the best, though, and hope you were able to be accepted somewhere. 🙂

Just want to let you know that I got rejected last year so this was my second time applying and I am on the wait list. I only applied to UW last year, but this year I applied to six schools. I got accepted to multiple schools, but they are out of state. I wish you the best when you apply next time..maybe consider applying out of state..I know that it's a super hard decision to make..

This is my second time applying as well and I was rejected last year! Though I already am accepted to University of St. Augustine, UW is really one of my top choices.

There is nothing wrong with taking another year to improve stats. 🙂 During that year I retook my GRE and retook some of my Pre-Reqs to bring up those grades. I also diversified my volunteer experience as OT letter of Recs are so important.

I understand wanting to stay in the area as out of state tuition is crazy expensive.

Just putting this out there..UW is not the cheapest school to go to and out of state schools might be cheaper than you might think. Even though I will have to pay out of state tuition for the first year for the school I was accepted at, it actually turns out to be a total of around $60K total (for three years).

Ah bummer. Just got my rejection letter. Oh well I guess it is just not meant to be. :/ Onto the next! Good luck everyone else!

thank you for starting this thread!! I've been so anxious waiting for decisions.
I got the email and also got waitlisted. This is my top school so it'd be nice to be accepted but I have no idea what their waitlist process is like and we can't even ask where we are on the list... ahhhh the wait kills

Has anyone visited the campus? Bummed they canceled the accepted students info session. What is it like since they only have one classroom? Are there no mock kitchens or hospital rooms?

Hi! I am a current student in the UW MOT program. We have a mock kitchen and bathroom built into the main OT classroom, and we also have a hospital bed in there as well. We also have access to some of the equipment that the PT program uses. Additionally, we have classes all over the UW medical center/health sciences building, not just the main OT classroom. I hope that helps!

Does anyone know if they've started accepting people from the waitlist yet? I'm over here biting my nails, ha!
