First, this isn't for me, this is for my friend (I personally didn't get an interview at UW!!!)

3.55 U GPA
35 O MCAT
3.7 Masters GPA
Alaska resident

slightly weak clinical experience (was worse when he last applied, have improved since then)

slightly shy, not SUPER outgoing (this may be a problem specifically at his UW interview since the interviewers seemed high energy)

turned in secondary in mid-october (was this a problem even though he still got an interview?)

QUESTION IS: WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE FOR THE NEXT APPLICATIONS CYCLE? Apply to other schools? Which ones?

Where else did your friend apply? Sounds like more clinical experience would be key, also definitely do an exit interview with UW to find out what they think your friend needs to improve on!

Also, I just checkout your mdapps and it scared me! What do you think went wrong with UW??? Also, I'm scared I will get screed out of OHSU too. Did you get in anywhere?

-Are post interview exit interview standard/possible?

-As for me, I got in nowhere (I only applied MD, but I'm applying MD/DO next time) but I also had a 2.7 on my AMCAS (some classes didn't get on it in time, but I'll have a 3.1 AMCAS next time (like it helps that much though)

Well GL this time!

And yes, exit interviews like that are very standard at UWSOM. If you do a search titled "UWSOM" in this forum you will find an extensive (10pg) thread all about UW and those people have great info.
