Is this really necessary or would it just be better to keep hitting FA or to add kaplan to the mix instead for more variety?

I think there's a ton of value in getting through it as much as you can.

Kaplan just wasn't as strong IMHO.

I don't think two+ full passes are necessary. If you do them back to back, you tend to just answer them based on memory of what the right answer was, not necessarily based on the reasoning. I did one full pass carefully and followed it with a quick pass of all the ones I got incorrect.

If you have time for more, I'd put Rx in there (preferably before UW).

I would stick with UW just for the sake of reading through the explanations again. I am going through some of my weak sections in Kaplan in between my first and second UW passes and it is hell. I just lost my religion on the asininity of some of Kaplan's questions and associated BS explanations.

I hope not! I only did one, but went through some explanations a couple of times, in certain subjects only.

I think at most I would do a pass of the questions I did wrong.

While I would say that I was slightly surprised by my performance on my STEP, I should mention that I did not even finish the UWORLD qbank (not even a 1st pass).

You know more than you think.
