UWorld for in class NBMEs

So our school gives us NBME questions for our exams. How similar are UWorld questions to in class NBME's? Would it be beneficial to do UWorld alongside classes?

1st year classes? Terrible idea. Trust me, they are synthesis based questions that are hard to swallow without a solid MS1-2 foundation till nearing step 1 study time. Also, you will wish for fresh questions when you do get to study time and wish you didn't already use them. I had some NBMEs first year and your school selects the questions so they are decently in line with your course material. Save question banks till mid second year

OP, it's important to see what upper years have to say about it.

Definitely would strongly advise you not to do Uworld first year, but my classes are normal first year and abnormal second year.

Also, Psych really hit the nail on the head when he said synthesis-based questions. The NBME questions are good but do not require as much synthesis on UWORLD.
