that can't be said. they're both great resources. UW and FA are 2 great resources and while some of the content ∩ , FA is a book to be memorized and know those little details, UW is a resource that will make you think and realize the answers. While some of the easiest answers can be answered just by knowing FA in the majority of them you will need to think. That being said, there is lots of content in FA that isnt on UW because it would be redundant ask all those little details (if you want to be tested on these details I recommend kaplan or rx).

I finished all of the questions from Kaplan and I did all of the questions from UWorld 3x. I read and outlined about a dozen books when studying for step 1 and went through FA over and over. I did two NBMEs and lots of other random stuff.....
All that is to explain that if you are looking for a one stop shop to prep for step one, you are kidding yourself. There is no all-inclusive text or bank that you can use to prepare well. I was very pleased with my score, but it was because I read everything I could get my hands on, did everything i could to learn actively as opposed to passively, did practice questions until i knew why every right answer was right and every wrong answer was wrong.
The most common regret I hear from peers is that they didn't use FA enough or didn't do enough practice questions. Know those resources in and out, but don't lull yourself into thinking that is enough. FA and UWorld are considered the gold standard, but, at the very least, you need to add BRS phys and either BRS path or Goljan path. In retrospect, I don't think doing Kaplan Qbank in addition to UWorld was worth the time or the money. Kaplan tends to be overly detail oriented and fairly simple. UWorld requires deeper thinking and tests concepts better.
Bottom line, work hard and be honest with yourself about what you know and your abilities. Also, no amount of studying in 4-6 weeks can compensate for not learning the material well during the first two years. Good luck!

Jfgavina - you're right, but some people prefer RR - I don't think there's a big difference, just how they are written, I think you're covered as long as you use one of the two - BRS was much better for me, but they both cover what needs to be covered.

I have both RR and BRS path and I kinda regret not reading the latter. I red RR path very early in my study and I didn't take any advantage of it. I think I should have red BRS path in the last part of my study and I know I will miss a lot of points because I didn't add nothing to FA+UW in the last 2 months. but now it is too late LOL but for a 230 I think knowing well FA+UW is enough
RR is simply overkill. Read the book only if you have time. It mentions Step 1 and Step 2 material. Goljan audio + his transcribed notes are amazing. It does mention lots of information mentioned in UW and FA, but he explains them thorougly. He does give out many hints and examples.

When you say his transcribed notes, are you referring to his 46 page packet, 100 page packet, or the 233 page packet with the green cover page?

I would say about 75-80% of the information needed to answer UW questions correctly is in First Aid from what I have seen thus far. Making the connections between the information and seeing the various ways symptoms can present clinically is not in FA, so for that you may need World.
