Has anyone finished the whole 800 questions UWorld MCAT?

Please give us a solid review.

Looks like excellent material, solid understandable answers.

But has anyone actually used the whole 800 questions?

How long does it take to go over those 800 questions?

If the answers to both right and wrong answers are solid, could one bypass content review, and just use this UWorld for content review?

How does it compare to Altius, Next Step?

I haven't used it but have only heard great things about. Plus with a 15 day free trial you can do a whole lot of questions.

We all HEARD good things about UWorld MCAT.

But has ANYONE gone through those 800 questions, and can give us a real review.

I haven't done all 800 questions but I was able to dabble in a few of the different sections. I found the questions to be in between QPack and SB difficulty but really the answer descriptions to be AMAZING. They provide illustrations and very good analysis of why the answer was right but also why all of the other questions were wrong and not just that they were wrong.

This right here is the whole point of UWorld.

Definitely worth doing: Psych/Soc-SB level difficulty, but I'd credit this for helping me a lot.
Probably worth doing: Biochem/Chem-SB level difficulty again. If you can do them/understand them you'll probably be okay
Not worth doing: Physics- really just too hard and in-depth

If I recall correctly, I was scoring around 70% across most of the sections. Scored 520 FWIW

15 day Free Trial allows you access to all World MCAT material? or only a limited version of the real subscription?

If Psych/Sociology is that good, and free trial allow you full access to that section, will just go bazooka with free trial on that section the last 15 days.

So I'm a UWorld MCAT ambassador, and beforehand I have personally used UWorld's MCAT prep questions (about 500-600 at the time), and I can give an honest review that this is definitely a really good prep.

The best thing about UWorld is actually not the questions themselves but the explanations for the questions. Especially in science sections, every single question had a very detailed explanation with lots of pictures, graphs, and flowcharts. These are wonderful visual representations that summarize everything you need to know.

Esp for Psych/Socy, if you are tested on one theory or one part of a theory, UWorld tells you in the answer explanations all the relevant comparisons with other theories or the other parts of the same theory, and just reading the answers is good enough of a prep.

Also, my favorite thing about UWorld is that every single question explanation has a summary at the bottom that tells you the exact nugget of information that you needed to know in order to have answered the question correctly. These are quick summaries that you can study off of, and you can write these under the "Why I missed this question" section in your notes.

I've done about 600 questions so far, I can tell you that they are legit and all the question explanations are comprehensive and easy to understand. I can give a full length honest review if that helps!

How do you feel they helped you? I would love a full length review if you get the chance to post it

UWorld has been pretty great in terms of educating you both content and application at the same time. Their questions are pretty close to AAMC (except I wish there would be more CARS available right now), but their psych/socy, biochem, and chem/phys are pretty spot on. They helped me the most with their graphs, charts, and tables available for each answer explanation.

For example in psych/socy, if I mixed up similar but different theories together, usually in the answer explanations there is a chart/table that lists ALL theories and their differences. By just looking at that chart and memorizing it, it clarified a lot of the confusing theories for me. The same goes for all other questions, esp. in complicated topics like biochem. They usually have graphics that illustrate how certain chromatographies work, or how to look at periodic tables, or what the pathway of glycolysis is, etc. This is, in my opinion, the best part of UWorld prep. They also allow you to create flashcards so that whenever you get something wrong you can mark it and make flashcards with them.

After doing ~600 questions, I learned a lot from UWorld's practice questions bank, and whenever I would get a question wrong I would either make flashcards or write down the nugget of information that I needed to know in order to get the question right. Overall I would say that UWorld is quite comprehensive and covers all topics that the MCAT tests on. I still got ~300 questions to go so I can update you if anything changes after I finish the whole course. Hope that helps!

Did doing the Bio and Biochem Q's in UWorld increase your score? I'm thinking I'll have time to maybe finish this or at least half of the q's in each section. Do you think doing them would increase my B/B score by 1-2 points on the real deal?

I think the questions are a little too detailed/difficult but B.B. is a combination of mostly high yield content and your ability to pull relevant data from the passage/ graphs.
I did a little less than half the bio and Biochem from UWorld and it is decent practice. I just focused on the PS which is better quality questions (PS on the Real was crazy weird)

I finished just about all the B and B questions and saw my score go from 126 to 128 from my practice tests. Also have my PS hovering around 127 and have been using UWorld to focus on this section. I love UWorld and highly recommend it.

Just please make sure you do the aamc section banks!

For Uworld focus a lot of time on reading the explanations after the questions, they are almost always excellent.

Would you say prioritize UWorld over practice exams? I was going to do 10 practice exams total...but if I need to finish UWorld, I might have to cut down the number of exams to 7-8 in the timeframe I have atm. Trying to figure out if that would be worth it or not...

Thanks! Already finished the AAMC section banks, I'll look over them again the week of my exam.

I think the PS for Uworld for sure needs to get done. Which practice exams are you doing? I think highly of NS1-5, and I would have liked to give Altius a try but ran out of time.

I already finished all the PS UWorld Q's, and will finish the CARS too since I'm replacing the Altius/NS CARS with UWorld and JW CARS during my practice exams. I'm just worried I will have to sacrifice a practice exam or two to get through all of UWorld's Bio stuff.

I'm doing a mixture of Altius/NS. Thinking of 3 NS, 3 Altius and maybe one EK? I'm deciding as I go lol

At least finish up through NS 4, I paid to 5/6 and 5 was solid but 6 has terrible reviews for being too difficult. May also be worth going through the FLs another time to see questions you missed. I did NS 1,2,4 a second time without time just for practice and to see if I absorbed the info. I also took AAMC FL 1-3 twice which was helpful. FL2 was 507 (127/125/129/126 silly CP mistakes) for whatever that's worth. I felt like the exam was very similar to FL2 with the CP/CARS being extremely close, and BB similar but more section bank level and PS was insane.
