Hey guys!

So, I am planning on starting to study for STEP1 in the next week. I have the usual MS2 classes until mid-June and are given 6 weeks off after for dedicated study time.

That being said, the rage in prepping is by doing as many UWorld questions as possible...?

At this point, it normally takes me some time to review questions on USMLERx for my normal classes. But, I plan on studying the material during weekdays and attempt at least 3 UWorld blocks on the weekend + review of those questions.

Is there a way to be efficient? Because personally, it takes a lot of time to review and take notes on 120+ questions every weekend. Or do you have some other tips about practice questions? Thanks in advance! 🙂

I think if you're using UWorld outside of your dedicated period, like in the few months leading up to it, stick to doing 1-2 blocks a day and thoroughly reviewing them. It will probably take a long time. A lot of people take notes, or annotate into FA, but do what works for you. If there's a glaring gap in your knowledge, you can turn back to primary sources or other review materials to help solidify your understanding after reading the UWorld explanations for correct & incorrect answers. Do a block or two every day, or more days than not, because three blocks is a lot to do & review in a day, even if it's the weekend.

How do people study through their notes in FA though? I'm always conflicted b/w passive and active learning and if my study habits are up to par or not.
