uworld wtf

Don't put stock into your Uworld score on individual sets. It really means absolutely nothing besides that it hit on material you weren't strong on, you didn't take it seriously, or had an off set. Just more to learn. Really take a look at why you're missing each question to get a better idea of what lead to that low score and really gain the most from it.

Don't sweat it. I just had the same thing happen to me, hit the lowest score I've had on UW and it was right after taking a few days off. I thought "Oh God! I screwed myself and I've forgotten everything!" Luckily, I've come back up since that one.

Has happened to me twice. After hovering in the 70s and 80s, I've crashed down to mid 50s. One of those times I really was having a bad test day. The other time, I have no clue idea what happened lol. All uworld has taught me is that the usmle is a lot more luck than one would think.

Exactly. you have to prepare for everything and hope for the best for you.

Like for the MCAT, I was praying I did not get a PS that was heavy with Physics. Of course, I got one loaded with it and crap I did not even understand.

I bet I get hardly any pharm. I pray for a heavy pharm test obviously.

happened to me too. it's really hard on the morale and makes it hard to keep motivation when you feel like you're sliding downhill.

My scores seem to be all over the map though my first pass average is holding at about 60%. Questions I get wrong seem to be either things I can't remember even being exposed to, or I smack myself for falling for a distractor when it's something I actually did know. Frustrating and worrying.

Let's not sugar coat it, this process blows. Not as much as a lot of other things people might have to go through, but still. It'll be over soon though, and the overwhelming majority of us will come through just fine.

agree 100%. we had upperclassmen hold a step 1 panel before school ended and they all said that studying wouldn't be as bad as we think. some said it was kind of nice... i must be doing something wrong because i don't feel that way at all haha

I just hope my exams anatomy is limited to those anatomy questions about the nerves of the hands and feet that FA covers -_- Anything other than that, then I'm fairly screwed *fingers crossed*
