To the lucky ones,

If you will please, give any feedback pertaining to your interview at UWSoD. How was the day as a whole?
How was the interview?
Did they make you feel comfortable?
How were the questions they asked (basic, thought-provoking, random, intimidating, etc.)?
How many students were interviewed that day?
Anything interesting/surprising throughout the day, that you heard, or learned/found out?

Be a friend and let us know what's up!

Sorry I can't answer your questions from personal experience...but from what I've heard from several friends who interviewed thus far, UW is fairly intense about their interviews. They literally wrote down word for word what the interviewee said and clearly analyzed answers.

I don't mean to intimidate you by any means...but definitely take their interview seriously. Their process is more than 3:1 interview: acceptance and their in-state percentage is at more than 80%. If you are out of state, honestly good luck in the most sincerest sense. If you happen to interview the 24th, I'll cya there 🙂

I'm also waiting on an interview, and I'd love to hear feedback.

I just posted this in another thread:

On top of this website where it is "Dental" click on it and choose "interview feedback" and go from there.

Here is the direct link to all the dental schools' interview feedbacks:

I went there before I started this post. Those entries are from last cycle. I was hoping to hear from students that have interviewed this cycle. Thanks though.

I interviewed there on the 3rd. Despite the hearsay above, I found it to be quite non-intimidating. They did write a lot, but I never got the impression they were out to get me.

I felt like I was talking to two of my dad's friends. They were quite friendly and seemed to care more about what kind of guy I was than whether I'd be a good impromptu attorney.

If I had to guess, they already pretty much know who they want, and the interview is just a social aptitude test. Up-tight dentists are no fun, anyway.

Oh yeah, details...there were 10 interviewed that day, and 16 were interviewed the week before. I'd guess they average about 15/week from Oct 27th until the end of December. They said not to expect to hear anything until January 1st (although 4 people were accepted Dec. 1st last year). The school isn't quite state-of-the-art, but the faculty is, and the students are the happiest I've seen.

I like trees, rain, liberals, mountains, korean-owned quasi-japanese restaurants and microbrews, so I'll be happy to stick around for a few more years. If you don't like any of the above, you may not be so thrilled.

Thanks for the insight!

Don't stress too much though if you don't hear I interviewed in February last year and was accepted in like april. So it isn't over until it is over. UW is a great place to be and has a wonderful program. Best of luck to all you applicants. We would love to see you next year.
