Hey. I've seen a lot of dental students travel to different countries on their breaks for vacations. How do they afford it? Are they using savings, parents or loans/credit cards to fund it? Thanks for the info on advance.

cant speak as dental student because I stayed pretty local however during residency I ventured to Holland, Belgium, Thailand, Vietnam
combo of savings, earned income and credit cards
its doable. just read lonely planet regarding budgeting, financing, etc.
any ?s just PM me bro.

some pretty sizable sign up bonuses for credit cards out there too. like $600 in air fare (chase sapphire )

never pay for accommodation again, and you can meet locals. I hate traveling like a tourist. Through workaway I've met dozens and dozens of people in many countries who have then offered to have me stay with their families, see things like a true local, and avoid tourist traps. It makes trips way more rewarding and memorable. If you're the kind of person who wants to fly to Hawaii and sit on a beach all day then you probably won't want to do this, though haha.
